Samuel J. McCullough (1809-1867); born in Dickinson, Pa.; graduated from Union College in 1835 and Auburn Theological Seminary in 1838; ordained the following year in Honeoye Falls. In 1842 the Philadelphia Home Missionary Society appointed him as pastor to Lawrenceville, PA; by 1843 he was preaching in nearby Tioga village as well.
